American Idol Top 24 Revealed

1. Naima Adedapo- who spent her career cleaning up after concerts, is the first to get the news that she'll be taking one of the coveted 24 spots on American Idol.
2. Clint "June bug" Gamboa one of my top five Predictions. I'm worried for his ability to get votes after the JT ousting. I loved him, but he lost a little likeability factor.
3. Hailey-cute, likeable, how come I don't know her yet?
4. Paul McDonald from Nashville - He has a game of catch-up to play since he's had no press, but he has big-time uniqueness and musicality. Mad-talent and bonus quirkiness
5. Ashton Jones
6.Karen Rodriguez- I don't know her
7. Robby Rosen- pure amazing solid strong voice. Only worry is if he picks boring songs
8. Tatynisa Wilson- I'm sorry, but I'm counting her out early

9. Tim Helprin - not a lot if press so catchup time for him too- awesome voice!
10. Julie Zorrilla (from Columbia) can't wait to see her dresses and watch her play piano oh and sing
11. Deep Voice Scotty McCreery- he has more range than I expected and brings a nice country balance
12 Latin Lover awesome big beautiful voice - Jovany Barreto
13. Lauren Turner- we don't even know this ex-housecleaner
14.Rachel Zevita - quirky, great range, expect fun surprises from this big voice! I love her personal style
15. Kendra Chantelle from Nashville that's all I know
16. Jordan Dorsey , awesome singer but he lost my love because he's a diva
17. Lauren Alaina (Aunt Holly's niece) we love her pipes and personality
18. Stefano Langone-nice voice!

19. Jacob Lusk (God Bless the Child performance)  big personality gospel voice...sings his joy!!!
20. Pia Toscano beautiful
21.James Durban  (sufers Asbergers and tourrets)-I love his voice, but his scream-sing song endings are great, but used to often. That blockbuster ending is no longer special or impressive. He is pure and honest, a rocker, and something special.  Steve Tyler says,  "I'll have what he's having"
22. Casey Abrams- twitter lit up with his name after he took out that big bass during Hollywood week. He says, "People like me can be sexy."

Can't wait to see him on makeover week...oh, wait, is that's for another show?
23 Thia Megia- J.Lo is a big fan.
24. Brett Lowenstern - I love him and rooted for him since his first audition. He reminds me of Steve Perry and could kill any Journey or Queen song. Not only does he seem like a great human being, he also has a unique edge to his voice that will bring him to the end of this competition as a top five finisher.

Tourette's on Idol...Get ready with the bleep button!

Last week's Idol was a disappointment--not much entertainment.  I blame the editors and wonder if the best of the show was left on the cutting room floor.  This week I was bummed to finally see Steve Tyler's rude side, "Dude, did you hit your head?" to one contenstant and "You're going to keep tending bar" to a rocker who sang his own rendition of the Beatles.  But if that is as mean as it gets, it's going to be okay, and since San Francisco was the last city for auditions, I give him a hall pass and chalk the behavior up to exhaustion.

San Francisico's top stories and Hollywood favorites include:
1. June Bug, the karaoke employee who sang a great performance of Billionaire
2. Stefano- my Tivo squirreled on part of his performance, but I love what I heard

3. James- the guy with Tourette Syndrom...and if that's not enough, his father (a bass player) died of a drug overdose and James is a new father. All I know about Tourette's is what I saw on Boston Legal. The Boston Legal character had outrageous outbursts of ticks and foul language. I can't believe that those reactions define the disease, but I wonder if the editors are ready with the bleep button. Either way, James won my heart and I'll be rooting for him.
